I wanted to know if we also have to submit a full paper before the symposium. I did not not find any information regarding this.

If there is no information regarding this on the MSE webpage you do not have to submit a full paper before the symposium. I am tagging @pedroportella @hickel and @henkbirkholz since there are the organizers of the M04 symposium.
Hi Anahita, MSE does not publish any proceedings. Some Symposia organize a special issue with a journal - we did not discuss this aspect for M04 until now. Kind regards Pedro
